Velvet Sky is a folklore collection of poetry and photography portrayed through 475 pages that highlights my memoir, Midnight Cowgirl: A Heroine’s Journey.
Velvet Sky started forming in winter of 2015 when I awoke in the middle of the night to a stirring in my soul. The pen started forming the most poetic words. I will never forget that moment. From that day forward, the pen became my voice as I navigated thought the mysteries of this life.
I often searched in the physical world for only what my own internal heart could heal. The treasure we are all seeking is within. God’s timing is always perfect. I am happy that the seed of Velvet Sky is ready to bloom and share her fruit with the rest of the world.
I never set out to take a photograph for any of the poetry. The photos aligned in the most mysterious way as I was putting the book together.
